NIA Skill Foundation is the Skill Development Division of the Nachimuthu Industrial Association (NIA), a not-for-profit established in 1956 to promote industrial growth, technical education, entrepreneurship and community development. Government skill development projects run under NIA's legal entity, while the Foundation plans, implements, trains, assesses and places candidates.
Operating from the Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) campus in Pollachi, the Foundation uses 20 Centres of Excellence and modern laboratories to deliver practical, technology-driven programmes across manufacturing, automation, renewable energy, EVs, mechatronics and digital technologies.

Ask Us DirectlyTraining hours run 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and a minimum of 80% attendance is mandatory for successful course completion.
Yes — separate boys' and girls' hostels are available on a shared dormitory basis, with internet, hygienic food, bank, post office, gym and indoor stadium access.
Carry your Government-issued Photo ID; your NIA Skill Foundation Identity Card will be issued on campus. Hostel residents should also bring their own bedsheets and personal essentials.
